Templating Terms
Please review the templating terms. The submit button will appear once you've finished reading and scrolled to the bottom.
Please check the following points to help your template run smoothly. We require you to ensure that someone is on site for the template to sign off the details including sink and hob positions.
Your Kitchen
- All existing worktops must be removed.
- Sinks, hobs, and taps must be removed.
- All base units must be fixed to the walls intheir final position and must be perfectly level.
- Please ensure units have no movement as this may crack the joins between your work-surfaces.
- Please do not move any units once our template has been taken.
- All end panels must be fixed in position. You must have an end panel between each freestanding appliance.
- Any boxing in of pipework etc. must be completed if you are having up-stands.
- If you are installing a cupboard on the work-surface this needs to be available in the kitchen for us to measure or the walls need to be clearly marked where the up-stands should start and stop.
Sinks
- Under-mounted steel, ceramic or cast-iron sinks must be supported in the base unit on a framework/cradle.
- Under-mounted sinks must be supplied with a cut out template. Please check your sink has been supplied with the correct template for the cutout you require.
- Insert/Over-mounted sinks must be available at the time of template. If this is not possible, accurate cutout dimensions must be provided.
- Belfast Sinks must be fixed in their final position.
Taps
- Taps should be available at the time of template. if this is not possible the required hole diameter, shroud diameter, placement and throw of tap must be provided to the templater for each tap.
Hobs/Cookers
- Hobs should be available at the time of template with exact cutout dimensions.
- Hobs that require a recess must be suitable (see manufacturer) and will be taken to the factory to ensure they fit correctly.
- Range, AGA/Rayburn cookers must be level and fixed in their position.
Window sills
- If you are having a windowsill installed, your old windowsill must be removed prior to templating.
- The windowsill area must be a sound surface to enable us to install/level & glue your new windowsill in place.
Breakfast bars/Seating areas
- Please ensure adequate support is available for the work-surface. The maximum unsupported overhang for 30mm stone is 300mm, 20mm is 200mm. If you have any doubt please call us.
- We will always cut your island work-surface square as this is the most visible. This may mean your overhangs will vary slightly if your island units are out of square.
Up-stands & Cooker Splashbacks
- Standard up-stands are 100mmhigh.
- If you are having up-stands, please ensure adequate clearance is available between your worktops &sockets. Include allowance for hard plastic tails on factory fitted plugs.
