Our Answers
What is Dekton?
Dekton is an advanced ultra-compact surface crafted using raw materials found in glass, porcelain, and quartz production. Its exceptional resistance to scratches, stains, and impact makes it ideal for use in kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic areas.
Is Dekton heat resistant?
Yes, Dekton resists temperatures up to 400°C, tolerating contact with hot cookware like pans and coffee makers.
For longer exposure, particularly with thinner profiles (4mm or 8mm), use trivets or heat mats for protection. Direct contact with metal parts of grills, hobs, or intense heat from fireplaces and barbecues should be avoided, as should exposure to open flames.
Is Dekton durable?
Yes, it is incredibly durable, offering long-lasting resistance to scratches, stains, and impacts across various applications.
Does Dekton require special care?
No, Dekton is remarkably easy to maintain. Cleaning with warm water and a mild detergent is sufficient to keep it looking as good as new.
Is Dekton eco-friendly?
Yes, Dekton is produced using sustainable methods and natural raw materials. It is free from harmful chemicals, making it an environmentally conscious choice.
How does Dekton compare to Quartz?
Dekton is a highly compact material created from raw components found in glass, porcelain, and quartz. Quartz, in contrast, combines natural quartz with resins to form an engineered stone. While both materials are durable, Dekton’s superior heat and UV resistance set it apart, particularly for outdoor use
